Paul J. Schweinler has extensive
experience and expertise in crisis management
and crisis response (over 8,000 hours of direct
crisis response contact). He is an approved
trainer for the ICISF and a member of the Florida
Crisis Consortium which has developed a comprehensive
disaster behavioral health assessment program
for major incidents in the State. Paul is a
primary Mediation Trainer in Florida and lecture
on the subjects of communication, all aspects
of conflict resolution, the trauma of domestic
violence, and much more.

ICISF Trainings:
Individual and Peer Support: Basic
introductory course on early psychological intervention
intended to reduce symptoms of critical incident stress.
Group Crisis Intervention: Introduction
to Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
Advanced Group Crisis Intervention: Second
level of training in CISM with emphasis on suicide,
line-of-duty death, and other special circumstances.
Strategic Response to Crisis: Intense
workshop designed to provide
participants to understand and apply approriate interventions
to specific
needs and situations.
Pastoral Crisis Intervention: Two
part workshop designed to train clergy, chaplains, faith-based
individuals in the application of crisis intervention
with specific attention to spritual needs.
Law Enforcement Perspectives of Crisis Intervention:
The blue wall can be tall. This workshop
looks at the particularites of law enforcement and the
special needs of officers in terms of cricital incident
stress management.
Sticks and stones and words that hurt: Brief
workshop on the subject of domestic violence with special
attention to the trauma of victims and how to work with
them.
Parenting Coordination: An alternative
to dealing with high conflict couples. Combines the
skills of a mental health professional and a family
mediator to help divorced couples manage their conflicts
without negatively impacting their children and keeping
the couple out of court.
Forty-hour mediation training. Fulfills
the requirements for Florida Supreme
Court certification as a Family Mediator.
