Galena Kuiper holds a master’s
degree in social work from the University of
Maryland and has been working with children,
adolescents, and adults for over 15 years.
She specializes in working with child and
adult survivors of sexual abuse and trauma and
is a consultant for Sexual Assault Center at
Prince Georges Hospital. She also works with
children and adults with learning disabilities,
developmental delays, autistic-spectrum disorder
and attention difficulties. She is certified
in several specialties: Neurofeedback, child-centered
play, solution-based therapy, and hypnosis.
She is licensed in both Maryland and the District
of Columbia.
Galena Kuiper has worked in a variety of social
service environments and given several lectures
on a variety of topics including sexual abuse
and sexual assault and integrated multi-modal
psychotherapeutic interventions.
She is Diplomat of the American Academy of
Experts in Traumatic Stress, and she serves
on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Atlantic
Regional Society for Biofeedback and Behavioral
Medicine.
