Thomas C. Creelman has recently
passed twenty years of law enforcement service
with the N.Y.S. Office of the Attorney General.
He is a Supervising Investigator in their Medicaid
Fraud Control Unit, where he supervises a squad
of eight police officer investigators. Additionally,
he has been a certified and licensed polygraph
examiner since 1982 and, has conducted several
thousand examinations since then. He too holds
professional certifications as a Certified Protection
Professional, which is board certification in
security management, and is also a Certified
Fraud Examiner. Mr. Creelman earned three graduate
degrees. He holds a Master of Professional Studies
in Criminal Justice from CW Post College of
Long Island University; a Masters of Public
Administration and a Masters of Art (Forensic
Psychology), both from John Jay College of Criminal
Justice. He also holds a certificate in “Alcoholism
Counseling” from the Institute of Alcohol
Studies at South Oaks Hospital. He also received
professional training at the Albert Ellis Institute
for Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy in New
York City, receiving certification in both primary
and advanced training programs. Since 2001,
he has been an Employee Assistance Coordinator
for the Attorney General’s Office. He
is both a Certified Employee Assistance Professional
and a Substance Abuse Professional. He is also
Certified Clinical Criminal Justice Specialist.
In 2002, Mr. Creelman received the “Attorney
General’s Superior Service Award”
for his employee assistance program work during
9/11. In 2004, he also received the “Employee
Assistance Award” from Confide Counseling
and Consultation Center in Rockville Centre,
New York.
Since 1998, Mr. Creelman has been an Adjunct
Instructor of Criminal Justice at St. John’s
University in Queens, New York. He teaches both
undergraduate and graduate courses in criminal
justice, including a graduate course he designed
and delivered on Stress Management
